Add Comment It was lovely to see my wonderful Aunt and Grantie Wendy (Grantie Window as Issie now calls her) today, when they came to collect the big picture and a few others! I do feel for poor Grantie on the journey back to North Wales, leg room was at a pinch to say the least! Sad to say goodbye to the large canvas but I've two more to paint once the illustrations and commissions are completed. Very pleased that my little fluffy lamb will be joining the others once we've got it packaged up too. Right, best get back to stories and illustrations, no rest for the wicked! So tomorrow is the big day, I become really grown up and move into my own studio plus the small issue of moving home! I've recently upgraded my phone to one of those apple things but sadly it works not as a phone just yet. Sorry to one and all who try and ring me! If you've left a message then I'll get back to you next week when it gets sorted. If you have an urgent question then please call my husband on 0777 431 9451. Here's to new adventures! Alasdair of Neuk is currently on display at Touchwood, Solihull as part of an ongoing tour. Top marks go to Vicky Hendry for spotting him whilst on a visit! This follows Andrea Cunnington Racey spotting him recently in Queensgate, Peterborough. Are you up for a spot of cow spotting? Well bull, in Alasdair's case! Next week sees me move into my first professional studio. I can't wait! I'll be based in Stonegrave at Stonegrave Lodge Farm Stonegrave North Yorkshire YO62 4LL Contact is still via my mobile whilst we sort out a landline at the studio and please call before coming to the studio - insurance reasons I'm afraid. We'll be moving house next week too to the lovely Nunnington. Can't wait despite an epic downsizing project! Really excited about the studio and my new neighbour will be the Queen of Fashion, the lovely Natasha Waite of Goose and the Moose fame. Kindly sent to us by the lovely Andrea Cunnington Racey. Alasdair has spent the last two weeks watching over the herds of shoppers in Queensgate Centre, Peterborough. Thanks Andrea for recognizing a kjbentley! Alasdair's time in Peterborough is now at an end, however, he will be in the Midlands next week, details to follow soon. A wonderful week of sheer indulgence, dancing, a wee dram or two and a wedding to die for! It started with the delivery of our Jaguar for a week, courtesy of the Buy Art Fair competition. They don't come much better than a Jaguar XJ Supersport, or so the husband tells me! Actually it was a dream apart from the load capacity being somewhat challenged by 2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog and all the trimmings plus the latest kitch'n'coo painting! The wedding was our lovely friends Jane and Vincent's up in Aberdeen. Due to work pressures it was a mad dash up on Friday for the wedding on Saturday and returning on Sunday. Issie made it through until 2.30 in the morning and both our girls were much admired for their behaviour and stamina! Proud parenting moment. I, of course, wore the magnificent Kate dress by Natasha Waite of Goose and the Moose fame. Reworking vintage fashions is her game and is a must have addition to your phone list! Then it was back to packing up the house ready for the move to Nunnington and for my first studio proper in Stonegrave, not forgetting all the illustrations I have to do to a tight deadline! Hattie commenced movement under her own steam this week to complicate matters further. I'm not sure which is quicker, the Jaguar or the baby! Sadly the Jag is now gone but it's given me some drive to sell more work! |
