Work nears completion on the latest kitch'n'coo piece and today it moves outside to the beautiful scenery of Nunnington whilst we look after Gallery Beyond for the day.
I should also mention it's 'him in doors' 44th today so it'll be off to the Royal Oak for a spot of something lovely for lunch so if the gallery is closed that's where we'll be!
Must admit this painting lark is proving to be very enjoyable at the moment and with interest beginning to take off, I need every spare moment to put brush to canvas or charcoal to paper!
It's coos or similar for a while until I can find a muse or several to pose for the next series of eratica! Interested in posing? Get in contact, now!!!!
Just a day passes from the opening of one show and there's a new location to provide work for!
This will be a series of charcoal drawings within the kitch'n'coo range of a variety of hounds, cows, chickens, sheep, goats and of course a hare or two.
Great location too, will let you know as soon as the first batch are ready!
As the show is about to open I've launched my new 2012 gallery with images from the show and more.
Please come to the show, open for the next four weeks at Talents Fine Arts, Malton or check out the images by clicking the picture below:
Just had the lovely news that 'mulling it over' will be staying with it's new owners. So great to get this news on the eve of my show at Talents Fine Arts in Malton.
Looking forward to tomorrow now with a few less butterflies.
What a lovely day! First trip to Boroughbridge and mighty impressed with a couple of shops then on to hang 'Mulling it Over' with the prospective owner. Yes we do loan canvases so you can make the decision in your own home.
Then on to lunch at Raines in Helperby for lunch with the Bradshaws. Was a wonderful day all round and then the evening was made madder by the mercy mission to help friends move house. Something the husband can also get involved in tomorrow when he delivers a car to their new home in the Lake District.
Gutted he gets to see the house first but Harriet needs her jabs so I get to wait until the boxes are unpacked I guess!
Following an intense period of painting seascapes I would like to announce that I will not be painting anymore for a while!
With interest growing in the kitch'n'coos range (name change to reflect the Scottish influence) and wanting a return to painting figurative pieces.
I will come back to the seaside soon and further inland but need some new material and the time is right for a break.
Harriet, at 3 months has been right with me for the last 15 seascapes, sometimes literally.
For those wanting coastal canvases I've a show coming up at Talents Fine Arts in Malton, North Yorkshire starting on the 25th March.
Right off now to think Highland cattle and other rare breed delights to paint!
oh yes, him in doors has just reminded me that i need names for a lot a canvases! Can I really call a seascape Hamish?

Prints of this popular painting are now available from Saatchi Online. Either on paper for you to frame or on box canvas that you can hang at very reasonable prices!
Think this may well be my next subject in the kitch'n'cows series. Was wonderful to meet part of the fold and Jim Morrison the farmer responsible for bringing the fold to Helmsley.
Can't wait to get back to the kitchen studio to paint her!
Took a trip out today to visit Kevin at Gallery Beyond and then on to Helmsley where, by chance, we encountered the Helmsley Highland Fold.
Marvellous chat with Jim Morrisson the award winning owner of the fold. Got some great snaps to be going on with but will return to get more for future pictures of the loveable Highlanders. www.helmsleyhighlandbeef.com
Should keep the Colquhouns of Chandigarh happy!
Also dropped off 'The Favourite' at Peter Silks shop in Helmsley to further expand my outlets. www.petersilk.co.uk
A big thank you to Stef Mitchell and Andy Dalton for accommodating my extremely late application to be in the Ryedale Artworks Directory for 2012. Ryedale Artworks Directory
The cheque is really in the post Andy! Looking forward to seeing the review.
Also made the local press for the forthcoming show at Talents Fine Arts. Always nice to see your name in the paper and away from the 'bad news' pages!
